United Kingdom is supposed to be United States’ best friend, and vice versa. Even when the U.S. went astray on a 2003 Iraq invasion, the U.K. obediently followed. Tony Blair didn’t persuade Bush not to go to war but instead supported the invasion even when the former British prime minister knew it was wrong. The inseparable friendship changes after Obama took over.

Barack Obama gave “cold shoulder” to the country’s traditional buddy, started what is believed to be the era of real damage to the US-UK relationship. Two terms were what it needed for Obama, together with Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel, to create havoc – promoting liberalism, globalism and even terrorism by adopting a soft approach to radical Islamic terrorism.

Actually, the U.S. doesn’t have many allies willing to fight for “American values of freedom and democracy”. In fact, the U.K. was the only ally that can be considered true friend. The rest of the allies were forced to become friends because of American’s might. It was U.S.’ 22.14% contribution to the NATO budget that what makes the European nations befriended the U.S.

Hence, the EU shown their displeasure when Trump administration threatened to pull out of NATO unless the rest of the 28 members of the alliance share the financial burden – fairly. And when Trump walked away from the Paris climate agreement, the EU was practically pissed off big time. When Trump was foaming at the mouth criticizing North Korea, none from EU cares to support.

Now the relationship between the U.S. and U.K. has deteriorated to a level where a U.S. president has literally begged his counterpart U.K. prime minister to “fix” a warm welcome before a visit to Britain is possible. That’s laughable considering Saudi Arabia had thrown everything, including the kitchen sink, ensuring President Trump was pampered and enjoyed his stay in the kingdom.

In a latest leak exposed by U.K.’s Sun newspaper, President Donald Trump urged U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May to ensure he gets a warm welcome in Britain for his state visit – warning that he would not visit the country until he had been given guarantees. In a private conversation, Trump told May – “When I know I’m going to get a better reception, I’ll come and not before.”

A transcript of the chat, seen by senior diplomats and leaked to the publication, revealed that Trump was concerned about negative press coverage in the U.K. Earlier this week it was confirmed that Trump’s state visit to the country, initially planned for this year, will be delayed until next year. Donald Trump reportedly made a phone call to Theresa May, informing her about not going to U.K.

The U.K. liberalists or left-wingers apparently still couldn’t accept Trump’s executive order of Muslim travel ban. Queen Elizabeth II had offered an official state visit to President Donald Trump and refused to retract it even after London’s Mayor Sadiq Khan had called for the visit to be cancelled. Now, the notorious liberalists plan to hijack and disrupt the visit.

The Sun revealed that President Trump told Prime Minister May – “I haven’t had great coverage out there lately, Theresa,” to which Ms May replied – “Well, you know what the British press are like.” But Mr Trump added – “I still want to come, but I’m in no rush. So, if you can fix it for me, it would make things a lot easier.”

President Trump Not Visiting UK Until Theresa May Fix A Warm Welcome

Over 1.8-million people signed a petition to prevent Mr Trump from being honoured with a formal state visit. The petition reads – “Donald Trump should be allowed to enter the UK in his capacity as head of the US Government, but he should not be invited to make an official State Visit because it would cause embarrassment to Her Majesty the Queen.”

However, without an official state visit which entitles President Trump a meeting with Queen Elizabeth, it would be an embarrassment to the U.S. president. The Queen’s reign has seen 12 American presidents in office and she has met all of them except one – Lyndon B Johnson – who took over in 1963 following John F Kennedy’s assassination.

Trump will be the second U.S. president not to have met the Queen if Theresa May couldn’t fix a warm welcome. His latest visit to France, where he was given an official state visit, means the badass Trump would expect nothing less. Trump was given a tour of the Les Invalides war memorial and Elysee Palace before a bilateral meeting, followed by a luxurious dinner in the Eiffel Tower.

French President Emmanuel Macron, in his attempt to suck up to Trump, had given the U.S. president the military parade on the Champs-Elysees – the first time a US President had attended since George Bush in 1989. The French tries to bring Trump back to Paris climate agreement. Likewise, if Britain really wants new trades agreement with the U.S., at least they should pretend they like Trump.
