Unlike his call in February blasted Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull over a refugee agreement and boasted about his victory before abruptly ended the phone call, President Donald Trump placed a super-friendly call to Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte. The call, made on April 29, was full of praises for the Filipino leader whose administration has killed 6,000 drug suspects in 6 months.

Trump was criticized by members of his Republican Party as well as opposition Democratic Party for inviting Duterte, whose murderous “drug war” doesn’t gel well with the liberal Americans. Duterte, who is also known as “The Punisher” and “Dirty Harry”, had previously called Pope Francis and former President Barack Obama “a son of a whore”.

The Intercept has recently obtained a transcript of the call between Trump and Duterte. Although contains numerous typographical errors, the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs confirmed its authenticity to reporters. The “friendly conversation” revealed how ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) members were very afraid of North Korea.

The transcript also exposed both Trump and Duterte agreed that only Chinese President Xi Jinping could control and contain the crazy Dictator Kim Jong-un. Trump repeatedly bragged about having 2 nuclear submarines and lots of firepower but the U.S. has no plan of using them, suggesting that using nuclear weapon to terminate Mr. Kim was out of the picture.
