At least 51 people are dead and 53 others wounded after a domestic terrorist – Omar Mateen – opened fire and took hostages at a gay club in Orlando, Florida, early Sunday morning. The shooter who stormed the Pulse Nightclub about 2 a.m. ET with an AR-15 type rifle and a handgun was eventually killed in a shootout with SWAT team after a 3-hour siege.
As usual, President Barack Obama, presidential candidates and politicians from across the political spectrum denounced the attack, which is the deadliest assault since September 11 attacks on American soil. Mr. Omar Mateen had called 911 before the attack, pledged allegiance to Islamic State and then prayed in a foreign language before spraying the helpless crowd with bullets.
Omar Mateen, a 29-year-old American citizen from Fort Pierce, Florida, was reportedly angry when he saw two men kissing in Miami. Mateen’s family was from Afghanistan but he was born in New York. His ex-wife, Sitora Yusufiy has claimed her former husband was bipolar and “mentally unstable.”
Coincidently, ISIS had announced 3 days ago that they will attack Florida. After the Omar’s attack, ISIS’ news organization Aamaq Agency claimed responsibility for the shooting. He was also said to be laughing while pumping bullets indiscriminately inside the gay nightclub. However, there’re now concerns that ISIS sympathizers and agents could have infiltrated U.S. federal agencies.
Apparently, Mr. Omar (full name: Omar Mir Seddique Mateen), who held two firearms licenses and a security officer license, was employed by the security firm G4S Secure Solutions USA Inc. since Sept. 10, 2007. G4S provides support services to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and Customs and Border Protection (CPB).
The security contractor also provides security guards and other security services for “90% of U.S. nuclear facilities”. The subsidiary he worked for – G4S Secure Solutions USA Inc. – is based in Jupiter, Fla., and his jobs was to help transport and guard state and local prisoner youths in Florida. Despite Omar openly praised ISIS in conversations with co-workers, he continued to guard prisoners.
But the burning question is what has United States done, or planning to do, to stop such sickening and bloody killings from happening again in the future? Not much, besides rhetorically expressing sadness and outrage. Presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump has called for President Obama to condemn the shooting as “radical Islamic terrorism.”
Instead, President Barack Obama described the attack as “an act of terror” and “an act of hate” and said the FBI was investigating it as an act of terrorism. Obama’s colleague, Hillary Clinton, also refused to call a spade a spade – “As we wait for more information,” she tweeted, “my thoughts are with those affected by this horrific act.”
Understandably, Obama has soft spot for “Islam” so he will never associate terrorisms, regardless how deadly they are, with Islam. Naturally, he dares not condemn such killing as the job of “radical” Islamic terrorists. As for Clinton, she desperately needs American Muslims votes, including terrorists, in her race to the White House, so she couldn’t be bother too.
But aren’t Democrats the loudest champions of the gay and lesbian community? Only fools believe either Democrat Obama or Clinton cares for them. And millions of American fools had actually voted Obama for not one, but two terms, as their president. And they’re about to be fooled again, by voting their first woman president this year.
How about Republican Donald Trump? Isn’t he worse than Obama and Clinton combined? It’s pretty simple. If Trump is the biggest fool yet commands more votes than any candidate in Republican history, it speaks volumes about how desperate Americans want from a guy to fix the country, which is in self-destruction today after too long in self-denial.
Get real, Trump has gotten himself a smooth ride because full-time politicians – from both Republicans and Democrats – screw up big time. Like it or not, United States’ foreign policy of picking up fights with whoever that they don’t like has contributed to domestic terrorism, one way or another. Using CIA, they play a fair role in breeding terrorism in the Islamic world.
At the same time, U.S. wants every nation on planet Earth to subscribe to their version of democracy. In the process, they can’t stop war refugees whom they’ve created elsewhere, not to mention huge import of migrants into the country. Omar Mateen is a sample of such migrants. Sure, he was born in the U.S. but while you can take him out of Afghanistan, you can’t take Afghanistan out of him.
Otherwise, how do you explain an American-born Omar took the trouble to pledge his allegiance to terror group ISIS before slaughtering his fellow Americans? Bush regime had started wars in the Middle East – bad guy. Obama regime has been sucking to every Muslim leader he meets – good guy. Has terrorism stopped spreading or growing so far? Guess not.
And now the United States is provoking China in the South China Sea for war. Is Obama administration trying to create new waves of Chinese terrorists after his country successfully breeding Muslim terrorists? Perhaps Donald Trump could indeed save America from becoming a pariah state after all. With the country in self-destruction and self-denial, what choice does Americans have?
