Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones, goes the popular proverb. It’s particular true when one had successfully escaped from a pariah fake democracy country like Malaysia to a developed United Kingdom, the British Empire that happens to have had once colonized the former.

Top blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin (popularly known as RPK) has retracted his article, published on Malaysia-Today.net, which accused whistle-blower Sarawak Report editor Clare Rewcastle Brown as a fraudulent journalist. The battle between the supposedly street smart RPK and sister-in-law of former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown was centred on 1MDB scandal.

Clare Rewcastle Brown and Raja Petra Kamarudin - 1MDB background

Born in Surrey, England, and a member of the Selangor royal family, RPK is a loose cannon who has been switching sides too many times that it’s hard to believe what he wrote. Ever since he escaped Najib regime after accusing the prime minister’s wife, Rosmah Mansor, of being presence at the murder site of Altantuya (an accusation RPK retracted too), the blogger has become a sort of mercenary.

Working for money and blogging from Manchester, England, RPK was Prime Minister Najib Razak’s highest-paid blogger. He would be given first-hand documents to be published to make his stories looked reliable and dependable. It’s a classic way to gain readers’ trust with the hope that whatever to be written and published thereafter would be taken as gospel truth.

RPK has been using such SOP (standard operating procedure) in Malaysia prior. Eventually he ran away to England when things got too hot to handle. Now, he has nowhere to run but to deal with the UK’s law. After issued a letter of demand, the “Great RPK” obediently and embarrassingly retracted his articles, just days after he boastfully challenged Ms Clare to take legal actions on him.

Now that the 1MDB scandal still refuses to fade away despite paying RPK top dollar, the blogger is under tremendous pressure from paymaster Najib and Rosmah to deliver, or else. It appears RPK has recently found a new chapter to discredit former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad – a hidden agenda to install his son, Mukhriz, as the next prime minister.

Mahathir Mohamad and Mukhriz Mahathir

From accusations of “still” crazy for power to protecting his “old cronies” to wanting his son to become the next prime minister, can RPK and his band of cyber troopers make up their minds? It surely doesn’t help Najib’s present situation if best blogger RPK keeps shifting goal post. RPK had also offered various amazing reasons as to why Saudi Arabia gave away US$681 million cash to Najib.

True, during his 22-year-rule from 1981 to 2003, Mahathir was as corrupted, if not worse, than Zimbabwe’s Robert Mugabe. He also didn’t have any respect for freedom of speech, let alone human rights. But it’s also true that he had publicly forbidden any member of his family to be involved in politics while he was in office. In a way, Mahathir is slightly better than Mugabe.

Abdullah Badawi - Sleeping on the Job

In comparison, Abdullah Badawi regime saw his son-in-law Khairy Jamaluddin running the country as the head of the “Fourth Floor Boys”. As a result, the country was stuck in time because while the sleeping beauty Badawi was dozing off and romancing with his younger brother’s wife Jeanne, Khairy and his boys were busy plundering the country.

When Badawi regime was finally booted, Najib brought along his wife – heavyweight Rosmah Mansor – as de-facto prime minister. Ironically, it was the same RPK who accused Rosmah of getting rid of Altantuya. Heck, he even alleged that Deepak the Carpetman of being not only Rosmah’s Bagman, but also her “Toyboy” – suggesting both Rosmah and Deepak were involved in extramarital affair.

The Real Malaysian Prime Minister - Rosmah with Najib and Senior Cabinet Ministers

And now Mahathir is being accused of destroying UMNO and Najib so that he can make his son Mukhriz as the new prime minister? To be fair, Mahathir does have “intention to see” his son becoming the country’s next prime minister but whether a donkey Mukhriz can make it or otherwise is beyond Daddy Mahathir’s capability.

Every elite member of UMNO wants to create his own dynasty. Najib Razak’s father would want his son to become one, as does Najib to have son Nazifuddin to continue his legacy. The country’s third Prime Minister Hussein Onn would want son Hishammuddin to become one too. Even badass Nazri Aziz wanted to become the next prime minister, if nobody wants the post.

Mukhriz Mahathir Waving to Crowd

The burning question is: does Mukhriz possesses the quality and material to be moulded as a leader? On paper, Mukhriz is nothing more than a mommy’s son, who can’t walk without his daddy’s help. Like a spoilt child who couldn’t even spread butter on bread, Mahathir would be signing his son’s death warrant if Mukhriz is forced to become the next prime minister.

Its one thing that Mahathir hopes Mukhriz could continue the family’s legacy. It’s another thing altogether if Mukhriz has what it takes for such a job. But if Najib hadn’t screwed up with tons of lies and money siphoning around 7 continents of the world in the first place, it wouldn’t matter if Mukhriz possessed Hitler’s leadership and John Kennedy’s charismatic.

Missing MH370 - Hishammuddin Hussein Keris

To say a kid who’s still wet behind the ears can become the next prime minister is an insult to not only Hishammuddin Hussein but also the ignorant and gullible UMNO members. Do you think UMNO would choose Mukhriz Mahathir over Hishammuddin Hussein as their next leader? Between both, the winner is so obvious.

Therefore, Mukhriz wasn’t the reason why Mahathir is seeking help from the world to strip Najib naked. The primary reason why Mahathir couldn’t close one eye to Najib regime was the mind-boggling rate the country’s fortune was being plundered. Due to his lavish spending, Najib’s foreign borrowing is already a legendary, reaching the RM1 trillion figures.

Najib Razak and Rosmah Mansor - Raining Money

By the time Najib and Rosmah are ready to hand over the throne to the next prime minister voluntarily, there would be nothing left in the coffer to pay civil servants’ salary, let alone develop the country, without resorting to super high rate of GST or heavy borrowings from foreign banks with high interest rate because the ratings assigned by foreign agencies would be close to “junk”.
