We knew the arrogant and ignorant Najib Razak had never imagined he could be defeated. This can be proven from a letter sent to American spy agency CIA by Research Division in the Prime Minister’s Department, saying while the recently concluded 14th general election could be the most tightly contested, Najib was expected to “win the election adequately to form the next government”.

 

What we didn’t know is how far Najib would go selling out the country. The damning letter – sent 5 days before the May 9 general election – reveals how the Najib regime had appealed for U.S. support in the event the scandal-plagued Najib win the May 9 general election by a simple majority – or even just 1 seat. Clearly, such request for the U.S. interference in sovereign Malaysia’s affairs screams first class treason.

 

It is puzzling that Najib went the extra miles begging CIA for help but cried and condemned the Yankees of interfering in the internal affairs of Malaysia when the U.S. Attorney General Loretta E. Lynch told all and sundry in 2016 that the U.S. Justice Department has filed lawsuits to seize assets that it said were the result of US$3.5 billion that was misappropriated from 1MDB.

The letter to the Director of U.S. Central Intelligence Agency, Gina Cheri Haspel, also contained accusations of Mahathir Mohamad’s past anti-West, anti-Semite and autocratic policies. The childish letter, while soliciting for CIA’s help had bad-mouthed Najib’s challenger Mahathir, pointing to the 93-year-old man’s disregard for human rights and rule of law.

 

Drafted by the then-Research Division director general Hasanah Abdul Hamid, the letter self-praised Najib Razak, claiming that he had a proven track record of not only practising sound and progressive foreign policies but also contributing to regional security through active involvement in promoting peace and stability in the region.

 

It’s quite amazing that the so-called Research Division, also publicly known as the Malaysian External Intelligence Organisation (MEIO), the country’s main foreign intelligence agency, had no idea what the CIA thought of the Malaysian leader. Everyone in the U.S. intelligence community knew how toxic and unreliable partner Najib Razak was in the region.

 

Even billionaire George Soros, a Democrats hardcore supporter, had advised Hillary Clinton not to follow Barack Obama’s mistake of wrongfully chosen to befriend Prime Minister Najib Razak. Exposed in a memo, Najib was described as “a poster boy for the 21st century kleptocracy” who has used “a racial supremacist ideology that is collapsing under the weight of corruption” to perpetuate himself in power.

 

CIA knew about Mahathir’s past naughty antics, of course. But the U.S. agency also knew that Mahathir’s anti-West policy was merely empty rhetoric – barks without bites. That was why during Mahathir’s 22-year-rule from 1981 to 2003, a staggering US$1.2 million was paid to disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff to organize his 2002 meeting with President Bush.

 

True, the United States is such a powerful nation that everybody wants to rub shoulders with the most powerful man on planet Earth and Mahathir was no exception. However, unlike Najib Razak, Mahathir didn’t, or at least didn’t get caught, laundering money using the U.S. financial system. More importantly, Mahathir didn’t play both sides of the fence.

Yes, Najib and his personal spy woman Hasanah were such idiots that they thought a simple letter could move CIA and Trump administration. They actually thought CIA was a fool for not knowing how treacherous Najib was. From buying naval ships (Littoral Mission Vessel) to selling national assets (Bandar Malaysia) to China, Najib had been playing both the Chinese and Americans from the beginning.

 

The educated guess is the CIA director could have had fell off her chair laughing when she read the part where Najib claimed to be the only reliable partner in Southeast Asia. Not only the ex-premier belittled Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines and Brunei – as either too insignificant or too small – Najib had also stupidly bad-mouthed Singapore, the strongest ally of U.S. in the region.

 

The letter also mentioned Malaysiakini and Sarawak Report, claiming that the opposition was spreading negative narratives on the political and socio-economic policies through these portals. Najib must be smoking expired grass for thinking the U.S. Embassy in Kuala Lumpur hadn’t already submitted security apparatus to Washington pertaining to his crackdown on press freedom.

Interestingly, the traitor Najib sent the letter to CIA so that the agency could report to the Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, presumably to influence President Trump to side with Najib Razak. But why didn’t Najib write (or call) directly to Donald Trump for the favour, considering he was invited to the White House in August last year, bearing gift amounting to US$20 billion of investment bribes?

 

After all, Najib had personally revealed to international press BBC that Trump had signed a photograph with the description – “To My Favourite PM.” However, by November, 2017, a viral video clip put to rest the question of how much Trump appreciated his friendship with Najib. The U.S. president had blatantly and deliberately ignored Najib and his wife Rosmah at a dinner in Manila, Philippines.

 

Najib regime was barking the wrong tree when they tried to paint Mahathir (then opposition) as someone who did not respect human rights. In actuality, Donald Trump does not care about human rights at all. That was why he likes to befriend leaders such as the Philippines “Dirty Harry” Duterte and Russian Vladimir Putin, not liberals like Germany Chancellor Angela Merkel.

According to the letter, Malaysia, under Najib Razak, welcomed the U.S. presence in the region, especially the South China Sea, to provide balance towards China’s maritime assertiveness. This provides the biggest clue as to why the new Malaysian government releases the letter at this hour. With his pending visit to Beijing next month, Mahathir wants President Xi to see how he had been played by Najib.

 

Not only has Najib, self-proclaimed Bugis warrior, committed treason by inviting a foreign government to interfere in the sovereignty of Malaysia; he has also betrayed both America and China at the same time. In fact, for the right price, he is willing to sell his mother. Perhaps China has prepared a surprise gift for Mahathir when he visits Beijing next month – fugitive Jho Low (*grin*).
