Najib Razak, after spending millions of dollars lobbying, has finally secured a face-to-face audience with Donald Trump. We can pretty much predict the outcome of the meet-up, scheduled on September 12, about 2 weeks from now. This is perhaps the biggest victory to the Malaysian prime minister, ever since the 1MDB corruption and money laundering scandal exploded.

 

Photographs of President Trump shaking hands with Prime Minister Najib would be front-paged on government-controlled mainstream media in Malaysia for weeks (most likely months). It would be spun and twisted to hoodwink Malay folks into believing that the U.S. president has thrown away the investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice over the stolen money of more than US$4.5 billion from 1MDB.

 

It doesn’t matter if Trump lectures Najib behind closed door about laundering dirty money using the U.S. financial system, or even refuses to chat about the 1MDB investigation at all. The discussion would be held privately. And you can bet your last dollar that Najib Razak’s wife – Rosmah Mansor – would tag along. Mr. Najib and his band of supporters and paid-bloggers could twist whatever story they like.

They could say that President Donald Trump was fantastically excited with Najib Razak’s leadership. Heck, they could even write that U.S. First Lady Melania Trump was impressed with Rosmah’s money-saving ability that she desperately wanted to learn how Auntie Rosie could finally purchased a 22-carat pink diamond necklace worth US$27,300,000 (RM117 million).

 

Obviously, Mr. Najib has everything to gain from the visit to the White House, and nothing to lose. For once, the lucky star is smiling at him. His band of bloggers suddenly makes a 180º turn. They are praising President Trump despite having warned and threatened the same U.S. president not many moons ago about interfering in the internal affairs of Malaysia.

 

But what could Mr. Trump possibly gain from granting a visit to Mr. Najib, a crook who not only had allegedly involved in stealing at least US$4.5 billion from 1MDB but also allegedly had anal sex with Mongolian model Altantuya and subsequently the gruesome murder of the beauty? Besides corruption, Najib regime also happily practices racism, extremism, suppression, oppression and whatnot.

Unlike Najib Razak, Donald Trump has everything to lose and almost nothing to gain from the meeting. Chances are the U.S. president doesn’t even know how to write “Malaysia” correctly, let alone the location of the country on the world map. So why should Trump waste time talking to a crook (and possibly a murderer) from a Southeast Asia country he barely knows the location of?

 

If Trump’s whole purpose after becoming POTUS was revenge – to reverse archrival Barack Obama’s legacy – he has done a great job. He has reversed the influx of illegal immigrants, banned foreign Muslims entering the U.S., withdrew from Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), pulled out of Paris Climate Agreement, reversed oil drilling ban, rolled back outreach to Cuba and tried to burn Obamacare, among others.

 

Interestingly, when Obama visited Najib in 2014, the first visit to Malaysia by a U.S. president in nearly half a century, the U.S. president didn’t know he was rubbing shoulders with the world’s biggest crook, as the U.S.-DoJ and U.S. Attorney General Loretta E. Lynch would reveal 2 years later on July 20, 2016. After the scandal was exposed, Mr. Obama had distanced himself from Mr. Najib.

Has Trump gone bonkers (to the tune of becoming a moron) by agreeing to meet Najib, just for the sake of doing the opposite of Obama? The White House might justify that the visit provides a chance for the two countries to improve relations at a time when China has been increasingly spreading its influence across Southeast Asia. But this justification is at best lame.

 

What PM Najib Razak needed was money – billions of US dollars – to bailout his “1MDB Ponzi Scheme gone bust“. The only reason why the corrupt Najib sucks up and sells everything under the Sun to mainland China was because only Beijing willing to bailout him. Will Najib reverse his “kowtow” to Washington from Beijing just because Trump granted him a visit? Very unlikely!

 

Secondly, the White House might argue that Malaysia is also an important ally for the United States’ attempts to stop the growth of radical Islam. If Trump actually believes Malaysia under UMNO regime is a useful tool to stop Islam extremism, then he is stupider than he looks. Najib’s own UMNO political party is itself an extreme organization and has increasingly become radical.

It would be easier to believe Iran is a moderate Muslim country than Malaysia is. Malaysia has been a breeding ground for terrorism under UMNO regime for as long as one can remember. Najib Razak is currently working hand in glove with PAS (Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party), a radicalized Islamic organization bribed with RM90 million, to introduced ancient hudud law.

 

In fact, PAS’ President Hadi Awang, to whom Najib has a very close relationship, was responsible for radicalizing Ibrahim Mahmud a.k.a. Ibrahim Libya, leading to the 1985 Memali Incident. Thanks to Hadi Awang’s speech, Ibrahim Libya was instigated and became a jihadist, declaring war against the Government of Malaysia 32 years ago – resulting in the death of 14 villagers and 4 policemen.

 

In a way, Najib’s best friend, Hadi Awang, is no different from the controversial Indian Islamic preacher Zakir Naik, the refugee who constantly preaching the Muslims against non-Muslims. It’s flabbergasted to think this is the type of people President Trump wants to befriend. What is the message that Trump would be sending if the U.S.-DOJ decides to drop the 1MDB lawsuits entirely after Najib’s visit?

Currently fighting for his survival against the Democrats as well as the Republicans, Trump could easily get himself dirty in the 1MDB scandal, which is already represents the largest action brought under the U.S. Kleptocracy Asset Recovery Initiative. Even today, the public perception has it that Trump could have been bribed using part of US$4.5 billion stolen from Malaysian taxpayers.

 

Considering that his plate is full with scandals, especially the Justice Department’s Russia investigation, the last thing Trump needs is to be associated with a corrupt, racist and radical leader such as Najib. That’s right, does Trump actually know that he is about to shake hands with a leader whom idolized terror group ISIS (Daesh, ISIL, IS) back in 2014?

 

It appears President Donald Trump is trying very hard to commit political suicide by getting involved in controversial policies and people. Perhaps he couldn’t stomach the tremendous pressure that comes with the job as Commander-in-Chief, therefore, deliberately asking for trouble – either by impeachment or getting ready to resign before his first term ends.

The burning question is this – why invite PM Najib Razak to the White House now when the corrupt leader was left out about 4 months ago in May, 2017, during which only leaders of the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand were invited to the White House? What has changed since then? It can’t be the China’s overnight influence or Malaysia’s sudden interest to combat radical Islamic terrorists.

 

Coincidently, the White House’s Chief of Staff Reince Priebus and Chief Strategist Steve Bannon – two most important figures – had either resigned or fired by President Donald Trump after being advised by left-wingers, including his son-in-law and senior advisor Jared Kushner. Perhaps Najib’s paid-lobbyist had successfully not only bribed Donald Trump but also Jared Kushner.

 

Even billionaire George Soros, a Democrats hardcore supporter, had advised Hillary Clinton not to follow Barack Obama’s mistake of wrongfully chosen to befriend Prime Minister Najib Razak. Exposed in a memo, Najib was described as “a poster boy for the 21st century kleptocracy” who has used “a racial supremacist ideology that is collapsing under the weight of corruption” to perpetuate himself in power.

On the subject of radicalization, the memo said Obama was naive because under Najib administration, Malaysia is a “net exporter” of militants to Indonesia and Mindanao. The government estimates that there are 50,000 ISIS sympathizers in Malaysia, including members of the military. President Donald Trump is indeed the U.S. biggest moron president for believing he could trust the world’s biggest crook – Najib Razak.
