There’re good reasons why parents sometime need to discipline their kids on the do’s and don’ts, especially when your kids are particularly talented in art. There were tons of news how kids decorated their parents’ expensive new sofas with drawings using marker pens. They might try their luck on your home’s wall as well. But in certain extreme cases, they could ruin your lives, or at least your holidays.
A Chinese national, Chen, found out the hard way when his 4-year-old son decided to impress his daddy while they were on a family trip to South Korea. Armed with black pen, the small kid drew all over his father’s passport. But it was not a normal scribble like many 4-year-old kids would do. This is a classic doodle.
Perhaps the kid thought his father would look better with beard so he gave him just that, in addition to more funky hair and a pair of panda eyes. His creativity also brought him to draw a cat, flowers and some people. Perhaps his father should have brought tons of drawing pads with him for the trip, knowing his son’s talent. Well, we’re sure he would better prepare next time.
Regardless whether the kid is genius or otherwise, Chen is now stuck in South Korea as problem arose when he tried to board his plane back to China. South Korean authorities told Chen that he won’t be able to travel back home with the rest of his family members simply because of “unrecognisable documentation” (*grin*).
There’s one place that Chen can send his son for a good career, in case his son is really talented. That place is Google, a company that pays top dollars for doodlers. But for now, Chen has to worry about convincing the Chinese embassy about his passport fiasco and get a new passport. Thereafter, he should invest some money on drawing pads and keep his passport safely.
