Fortunately Hillary Clinton didn’t win the 2016 Presidential Election. If she did, people around the world might be staring at the prospect of World War 3, for real, because Russian President Vladimir Putin would be forced to deal with a woman who is genuinely a sore loser. She is capable of doing crazy things just to win.

Hillary Clinton and the liberal mainstream media blasted Donald Trump for weeks, after he said he would only accept the election results if he won. From the European Union to China to Saudi Arabia to Malaysia, everybody had actually believed Clinton would win. Then KABOOM! Associated Press officially called Trump’s victory at 1:30 a.m. EST.

Dumbfounded and speechless, Hillary Clinton declined to immediately give a concession speech. Her campaign chairman, John Podesta told their supporters the race was “too close” to call and to “go home” after Trump’s continued surge. Clinton was only willing to call Trump, not a public concession speech, to congratulate the newly crown President-elect.

Even then, Hillary made that call to Donald after being persuaded by President Barack Obama on election night, according to a forthcoming book from Crown Publishing on Clinton’s defeat. Obama’s call left a sour taste in the mouths of some Clinton allies who believe she should have waited longer – and continue to hope and pray.

Podesta was sent out to talk to Hillary’s dejected supporters shortly before Hillary called Donald Trump to concede, with Clinton nowhere to be seen until the following day. Rumours spread that Clinton had a violent temper tantrum upon learning she had lost. She was said to be in a “psychotic drunken rage” and had became “physically violent” towards her staffs including Podesta.

The next day, in her first public remarks since her stunning defeat, Hillary reluctantly urged millions of supporters to “accept this result” and give her Republican rival a “chance to lead”. It was more about Clinton’s stunning defeat than Trump’s stunning victory that the Clinton supporters couldn’t accept, hence days of violent riots thereafter.

Of course, Clinton campaign officials have subsequently blamed FBI Director James Comey, the Russian, the White Americans and basically everyone and everything under the Sun except themselves. In the latest twist to find faults, with a wishful hope to install Hillary Clinton as the new president, the sore losers reveal they will participate in the election recount in Wisconsin.

The election recount in Wisconsin was initiated by Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein, not Hillary Clinton. The recount exercise, however, has raised millions of eyebrows simply because Stein raised more than US$5 million for the effort despite knowing she has no chance of winning, triggering speculations that Clinton allies could have “secretly” funded Stein.

Clinton, too, has virtually no chance of altering the result, given that she would have to reverse not just Wisconsin, but also Michigan and Pennsylvania, to become president. So, why would Clinton campaign participate in the Stein-initiated recount in Wisconsin by having representatives on the ground monitoring the count and having lawyers represent them in court if needed?

Although historically there were cases where recounts changed outcomes, the margins are usually in the hundreds, not thousands as in the case of Clinton-vs-Trump, not to mention recounts are initiated by candidates in close races refusing to accept defeat. But Clinton has conceded the election to Donald Trump, therefore, for her to participate in recounts now is flabbergasted.

Trump won 1,404,000 votes in Wisconsin, according to the state’s election commission, while Clinton had 1,381,823. In Michigan, Trump has a lead of 10,704 votes, and in Pennsylvania, his advantage is 70,638 votes. Clinton has lost unexpected primarily because she, arrogantly, had assumed a “sure win” in these 3 states.

Reince Priebus, Trump’s incoming chief of staff, drops a bombshell to “Fox News Sunday” that Clinton’s team “cut a deal” with Trump’s team specifying that once the Associated Press called the race in favour of one candidate, the other would call within 15 minutes to concede. But now it appears Clinton campaign is making a U-turn by announcing its participation in a recount in Wisconsin.

In fact, Priebus is questioning Clinton’s integrity with lawyer Marc Elias announcing that they may do the same in Michigan and Pennsylvania, if Jill Stein decides to request recounts in both states too. Stein’s reason for recounts is to determine whether hacking may have affected the results. So far, there’s no evidence voter results were hacked or electronic voting machines were compromised.

But the simple fact that the Clinton campaign – armed with battalions of lawyers and data scientists and analysts combing over the results to spot anomalies – had investigated the matter extensively but had found no actionable evidence of vote hacking means the “results are clean”.

Interestingly, during the presidential campaign, Clinton criticized Trump for refusing to say that he would accept the election results if she won. Trump once responded that he would “keep you in suspense.” She posted on Twitter – “Donald Trump refused to say that he’d respect the results of this election. By doing that, he’s threatening our democracy.

Now, the world is witnessing the genuine sore loser who doesn’t respect the results of the election – Hillary Clinton. In retaliation, President-elect Donald Trump mocked Clinton’s flip-flop in accepting the results, alleging that he would win the popular votes if “millions” of illegal voters hadn’t vote in Virginia, New Hampshire and California for Clinton.

Still, there’s a speculation as to why Clinton’s team participates in recount exercise. Wisconsin officials say it will be tough to finish the recount by the federally required deadline of Dec. 13. And if Michigan and Pennsylvania are dragged into recounts, all these vital 3 states will miss the deadline. Essentially, Trump’s 260 and Hillary’s 232 electoral votes will not hit the required 270.

The number needed to win will then be adjusted down. By then Clinton supporters would get to gloat that Trump isn’t a legitimate President of the United States because not only “The Apprentice” reality-TV star didn’t win the popular votes, he also failed to get the minimum 270 electoral votes. But isn’t this silly and childish? Yes, desperate people do desperate things.
