In many ways, Covid-19 vaccine manufactured by Moderna is very similar to the Pfizer vaccine. Both brands are based on genetic material called mRNA. The vaccine introduces the mRNA to the human body, triggering human cells to produce a “spike proteins”. As a result of these proteins, the human body produces antibodies to guard against Coronavirus infection – creating an immune system.
Both Pfizer and Moderna have shown an astonishing efficacy equivalence. While the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine showed efficacy of 95% at preventing symptomatic Covid infection after two doses, the Moderna demonstrated 94.5% efficacy. Even though both Coronavirus vaccines are U.S.-made, the Pfizer vaccine was developed by the German biotechnology company BioNTech.
Heck, even the side effects of the Moderna vaccine are similar to that of the Pfizer vaccine. They include pain in the arm where the shot is delivered, and others like tiredness, muscle pain, fever and chills. Of course, there are more serious, but rare side effects of “myocarditis” (inflammation of the heart muscle), where the signs included chest pain, shortness of breath or an abnormal heartbeat.
The only major difference between the two vaccines is that Moderna can be kept at minus 20 degrees rather than minus 70 as required by Pfizer. Another difference is the dosage – Modern’s dose containing 100 micrograms of the vaccine while Pfizer contains 30 micrograms. Vaccines from Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson are being administered in the U.S.
The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine must be used within 5 days after the transfer to refrigerator. Moderna vaccine, meanwhile, can last in the refrigerator for a month and the J&J vaccine can be stored in the refrigerator for at least 3 months. However, Pfizer is presumed to be superior largely because it was the first vaccine to receive emergency validation by the FDA with such high efficacy.
Pfizer has also claimed that about 3.8% of their clinical trial participants experienced fatigue as a side effect (compared to Moderna’s 9.7%) and 2% got a headache (compared to Moderna’s 4.5%). It was like comparing a Mercedes Benz and a BMW. But now with the emergence of Delta variant wrecking havoc, studies found that Moderna may be superior than Pfizer.
According to two reports posted on medRxiv on Sunday (Aug 8), the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine may be less effective than Moderna’s against the Delta variant. And the difference is huge. In a study of more than 50,000 patients in the Mayo Clinic Health System, researchers found Moderna’s effectiveness against Covid infection had dropped to 76% in July from 86% in early 2021.
On the other hand, over the same period, the effectiveness of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine had dropped to 42% from 76%. Obviously, Moderna vaccine appears to be better at fighting the Delta variant during the period when the U.S. CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) revealed on July 20 that the Delta made up an estimated 83% of the U.S. cases.
The study also discovered that people who received their second dose of the Pfizer vaccine five or more months ago are more likely to test positive for Covid-19 than people who were fully vaccinated less than five months ago – suggesting that after 5 months, the protection offered by Pfizer will begin to drop. Pfizer said a third dose of booster may be needed within 6 to 12 months after full vaccination.
Israel was among the first countries that started a large-scale Covid vaccination campaign. It has quickly vaccinated its population, achieving early control over the spread of the virus. However, the number of Covid-19 cases is now rapidly increasing, another indicator that vaccine protection decreases over time. In a study involving 34,000 fully vaccinated adults in Israel, 1.8% tested positive.
The data from the study in Israel means there were 1.8% cases where Coronavirus variants managed to break through the Pfizer vaccine. And out of the 1.8% positive cases in the country, the cases were higher when the last vaccine dose was administered at least 146 days earlier, or less than 5 months (approximately 4.86 months) ago.
Also, it was discovered that after 5 months (146 days) since the second dose, the chances of those above 60 years old to be infected is 3 times higher. Still, Dr. Eugene Merzon of Leumit Health Services in Israel said – “Very few patients had required hospitalization, and it is too early to assess the severity of these new infections in terms of hospital admission, need for mechanical ventilation or mortality.”
Last Thursday, Moderna said that its Covid vaccine was about 93% effective through six months after the second dose, little change from its initial 94.5% efficacy. That data alone was better than Pfizer-BioNTech, who said a week earlier that their vaccine’s efficacy decreased about 6% every two months, declining to around 84% six months after the second shot.

A Mercedes is always better, few Malaysian know about car engines (or much else…), it’s always the tarted up aspects that attract our materialistic monkeys.
It’s not that I ever rely on our mullahs for any expert advice – or any advice than choosing the right colours for toilet papers, though I may be influenced by the worship and devotion to Mercs by those whose faith hinges on I Shamelessly Lick Almighty Mercedes.
Should my faith fall short, it would really problematic to pick the Hindian Lamborghini, the Hindian Lordy Ram rickshaw. Which is an insult to civilisation and abuse of the subcontinent’s filthy dirt tracks – dung obstacle. It is blasphemy to run over those cow treasure, or drive past without getting out of the rickshaw and praying to the dung heap and make a wish for a blessing for more dung heaps.
There’s nothing to choose between Pfizer, Moderna, or Merdeka, or AZ. None of them work beyond a few weeks – if at all. The claims by the makers cannot be believed. If the vaccines work, the manufacturers won’t need “emergency use” dodgy approvals nor need for indemnity against being sued. The manufacturers always get whores from the field of quack medicine to speak for them, the glorified bomohs are lavishly rewarded (bribed).
Those going for vaccination are mere guinea pigs – or monkeys, if you have something against pigs. It doesn’t matter what flavour the virus is, the efficacy of the vaccines is as good as zero, none of the present claims are not tainted.
So I would advise all ye kiasu and kiasis to turn up the panic lever by many notches. Worse than what we know and don’t know, the confirmation of serious failure of the vaxxes rest in not only the continued infection and deaths, but that the numbers for those have shot up massively.
Just look at the grotesque state Bolehland is in right now. Can you for wan moment have any confidence ketuanan works, and the gomen of the diarrhoea-splattered flag is doing anything than comically coming up with a continuous long string of unbelievable failures wan after another?

So you can’t run even if our borders are open now for balik kampong and balik everywhere else you never want to go to anyway. It may be good for “herd immunity” to share around the Almighty’s creation and take more PCR tests and the Hardy Awankr and Laurel test on faith and religiosity – but unless we are cows, herd doesn’t mean anything else!
