Selangor, the richest and most developed state in Malaysia is getting a new Menteri Besar (chief minister) – Azmin Ali. The “Operation Kajang” is coming to its end. We were hoping for the drama to enter its second episode with traitor Hadi Awang’s chosen PAS candidate – Iskandar Samad – selected and accepted the powerful post. Sadly, it didn’t happen otherwise Selangorians would get to see how a no-confidence motion is being tabled.
It would be a huge embarrassment for PAS and the palace if their chosen Menteri Besar becomes the shortest serving chief minister in the state’s history – due to a no-confidence vote from PKR and DAP plus two additional “heroes” from PAS itself. But we guess God is cruel, unfair and never likes to see mankind enjoy themselves (*grin*) to some toys of their own creation. Well, that’s provided you actually believe in the existence of God.
Outgoing Menteri Besar Khalid Ibrahim was always treated as an angel while the incoming Menteri Besar Azmin Ali was always portrayed as the devil. If Khalid was Abrahim Lincoln then Azmin was Adolf Hitler. Didn’t street wizard Raja Petra Kamarudin once wrote how the evil UMNO preferred Khalid over Azmin as the Selangor Menteri Besar because it would be easier to wrestle the rich state from Khalid’s hands?
If the Selangor Menteri Besar fiasco is any indication, Azmin Ali could become the most powerful chief in the history of the state administration, and it’s not hard to see why. If lame duck Khalid could put up such a tough fight against his own PKR party, imagine what would it take to remove Azmin in the future, after he’s sworn in today. You basically need at least a battalion of U.S. Navy SEALS to remove Azmin, literally speaking.
So, in the childish game of “you don’t give me face, then neither will I” Menteri Besar candidate between PKR and the palace, have they actually chosen a devil instead of democracy? It is reasonably believed so, considering “Mother Theresa” Wan Azizah lost her candidacy to Adolf Hitler, despite securing the majority support of the state assemblymen, written in black and white – Statutory Declaration.
It seems in the land of the blind, the one-eyed racist and extremist Ibrahim Ali would be preferred over a two-eyed Margaret binti Thatcher as the prime minister, simply because of Iron Maggie’s menstruation problem and the palace reluctance to accept the first woman prime minister. To hell with democracy – Malaysia is now a confirmed democracy wannabe country, at best. Long live the monarchy.
If the lovely Khalid could get himself tainted with RM66.67 million deal, the devil Azmin could easily pull a rabbit ten times bigger out of hat. But that would not be PKR or DAP problems anymore. When that time comes, and it will, social media archives will be revisited on who actually choose the devil to the throne. Yes, in this case, PKR-DAP have no other better choice but to endorse Azmin as the new Menteri Besar.
And they did the clever thing by repetitively hinted it was not their fault should the devil Azmin plunders all the RM3 billion from the state coffer. Azmin Ali is a politics animal who could give both PM Najib and Anwar combined a run for their money. Depending on whether Azmin chooses to serve loyally to PKR and Selangorians, or as double agent to UMNO, one side will prosper while the other suffers.
Yet, the interesting part will be Azmin’s next move about the coalition partner – traitor PAS. On the surface, Azmin will most likely sweet-talk PAS not to break away from the PKR-DAP-PAS alliance, at least for now. Still, there’s a secret agreement between Azmin Ali and Anwar Ibrahim together with his wife Wan Azizah, before the endorsement to let Azmin takes the throne. Will Azmin able to check-mate PAS in order to strengthen PKR-DAP before the next 14th general election?
If Azmin is still as smart as he was in rejecting Hadi’s secret offer to betray his own party in exchange for the state’s Menteri Besar, he should be smart enough to use the RM3 billion effectively if he wants to become the country’s youngest Deputy Prime Minister (*tongue-in-cheek*). With less than four years away from the next general election, Azmin does not have the luxury of time for rhetoric like President Obama.
Knowing Najib administration may call for a snap election earlier than 5 May, 2018, it’s paramount to have an alternative to PAS. Simply put, the present PAS leadership tainted by Hadi Awang is toast not only in Selangor but also in other states primarily Perak and Johor. Considering PAS have 6 parliamentary seats and 24 state seats combined in Selangor, Perak and Johor courtesy of non-Malay votes primarily, the chances of losing all of them are very high, if Hadi Awang’s team is not neutralized.
Hadi Awang has openly reveals his displeasure about working with the PKR-DAP coalition any longer. Heck, he did it so blatantly that he’s literally begging his party to be sacked so that he can send his invoice to Putrajaya for all his hard work done in breaking up the strong coalition. It’s almost impossible to heal the wound. It is like Auntie Rosy was caught bonking and giving blowjob to Putin but still gave her middle finger to her hubby (*grin*).
Amusingly, some so-called politics analysts still think the “Operation Kajang” was a failure. How could it be a failure when the hidden objective was to catch a “tilapia” but instead ended up with a nice lobster? Now that Hadi Awang’s betrayal is exposed and is asking for stronger rope to hang himself, Azmin can easily swing other Hadi’s supporters using the same bait – money. What, you really think those PAS scumbags fear God more than money?
While Azmin is the biggest devil that the opposition parties can produce, you need such talent to fight another devil from the evil Barisan Nasional. The next 44-month, or less if snap election is called, will be crucial to see if Azmin is an acceptable devil or another ex-UMNO corrupt Menteri Besar. Either way, he’s the choice of the palace, not PKR or DAP. And considering Anwar would be in the prison soon, Selangor and PKR are essentially belong to the new chief.
