AKAM reported Q3 (Sep) “normalized” earnings of $0.24 per share, $0.02 better than the Reuters Estimates consensus of $0.22. Revenues rose 47.3% year/year to $111.5 mln vs. the $108.8 mln consensus … for Q4, co expects to earn $0.26 a share (consensus $0.25) on revenues of $118-120 mln (consensus $118 mln) … shares fell $2.13 to $47.70 in after-hours trading … this is what i called punishment for a drop in net-profit (95% vs a year ago) …

Guess i’m not making much money today … maybe a scenario such as OMX like this will happen again …

I have been folloing AKAM and ISRG lately too. Unfortunately, price of AKAM and ISRG dropped sharply to go along with the rest of market even though they provided above average earnings.

yes plin, AKAM & ISRG used to make me lots of money … but there’re times when the market-makers decided to go against small players like us … which i called blind-factor …

sometime when the big-players chose to play the role of a short-sellers, they’ll take every minor opportunity to punish the stock …

that’s why i always pick fundamental-sound company as sooner or later, the price will reflects it’s fair value (just to pick another piece of advice from warren buffett, haha) …

hence if you’re playing option game, make sure you have time value to your advantage …

just my humble opinion …
