Najib Razak was a very happy man on Friday (June 20). The world’s biggest crook was so happy that his attorney, Shafee Abdullah, told all and sundry that his client was happy to go back to prison to serve his current jail term, which had already been halved to six years after an intervention from the Sultanate of Pahang, along with the disgusting “blessing from Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim”.
Friday could be Najib’s happiest day since he began his 12-year prison sentence on August 22, 2022. He was so delighted that he might not be able to sleep that night, and threw a small party with prison guards, who now have more reason to kowtow to the crook who had stolen tens of billions in the infamous 1MDB scandal. Who knows, Najib may return as the next prime minister – thanks to Anwar.
Already living like a king in the Kajang Prison Complex due to his Malay Elite status, Najib now has one less corruption charges to worry after the Kuala Lumpur High Court granted him a DNAA (discharge not amounting to acquittal) in the SRC International Sdn Bhd case. It was such a joyful day that the former prime minister’s wife – Rosmah Mansor – hails the DNAA as a blessing from Allah.

Rosmah, who was as corrupted as her husband, should get her head examined. The God must be crazy and confused for sending Najib to jail in 2022, but at the same time free him in 2025 for corruption involving the same SRC International case. The person she should be thankful and grateful to is none other than the current premier – the power-hungry Anwar Ibrahim.
It was “Drama King Najib” who took the Islamic oath on August 21, 2022 at Masjid Jamek Kampung Baru in Kuala Lumpur. In his denial, the serial liar said – “I am standing here to clear my name and my family’s name. If I lie on this oath, Allah, may you punish me. If I am found innocent, if all of this is slander planned by my political enemies, I ask you to punish them”.
Hilariously, the God granted Najib his wish, sending him to 12 years’ jail and a fine of RM210 million about 48 hours later after the crook failed in his final appeal against a graft conviction. He was found guilty on 1 count of abuse of power, 3 counts of criminal breach of trust (CBT), and 3 counts of money laundering – all involving RM42 million stolen from SRC International Sdn Bhd.

Judge K. Muniandy said that the trial had stalled since 2019 with not a single witness being called to testify. Therefore, the judge had no choice but to grant the crook a DNAA, which is as good an acquittal in a corrupt country called Malaysia. But how could Najib imprisoned in 2022 for stealing RM42 million, whilst is freed today for stealing RM27 million in the same SRC International, a subsidiary of 1MDB?
That’s the easiest job for the Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC). What the newly appointed Attorney General Mohd Dusuki Mokhtar needed to do was to screw up the case by presenting a flawed prosecution case to the court so that it can be thrown out, and voila, crooked Najib got his DNAA. There’s a reason why an incompetent Dusuki was promoted by PM Anwar as the new A.G. in November 2024.
The appointment of A.G. Dusuki was to serve the same purpose as his predecessor, the same reason why Zaliha Mustafa, a lawmaker from Anwar’s party PKR (People’s Justice Party), was appointed as the Minister of Federal Territories in December 2023. PM Anwar deliberately appointed the useless former Health Minister Zaliha to the portfolio, who automatically becomes a member of the Pardons Board.

Scrambling to assemble his team for the Pardons Board, the PM then appointed a new friendly-Attorney General, Ahmad Terrirudin Mohd Salleh, who was also a member of the board. Terrirudin’s promotion in September 2024 was to facilitate Najib’s royal pardon. In fact, under pressure, Anwar admitted to submitting Najib’s application for a royal pardon to the board, although thousands of other prisoners were more qualified.
It was by design that Terrirudin had served as Malaysia’s attorney general for just slightly more than a year – to do the dirty jobs so that the prime minister can cling to power. It was the prime minister who ordered A.G. Terrirudin and Minister of Federal Territories Zaliha to bulldoze Najib’s royal pardon, despite the crook having served less than one-third of the jail sentence to be qualified to be considered a pardon.
Power-crazy Anwar willingly practised double standard – even abuse of power – just so that he could remain in power by appeasing Najib, whose political party UMNO is one of the dominant partners in Anwar-led Unity Government. To hide his hypocrisy, PM Anwar had shamelessly lied that Najib’s royal pardon was under the sole discretion of the (former) King Sultan Abdullah of Pahang.

It’s worth noting that an amendment to the Federal Constitution in 1994 already removed the absolute discretion of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (King) to grant pardons, otherwise why do you need a Pardons Board to begin with? Without the green light from the board, whose members included the Attorney General and the Minister of Federal Territories, the Monarch cannot unilaterally grant Najib a royal pardon.
Therefore, it was not a coincidence that after Terrirudin had served his purpose, he was promoted as a Federal Court judge in November 2024, and succeeded by Dusuki, whose new role can be seen today – to systematically and consistently throw out all of Najib’s corruption charges in line with a backroom deal between Anwar’s PKR and Najib’s UMNO to ensure Anwar remains as PM during his 5-year term.
It’s laughable when PM Anwar – the “Father of DNAA” – insisted that he was neutral and not involved in Najib’s latest DNAA. The A.G. served at the pleasure of the Prime Minister, and nothing as high-profile as Najib’s corruption case escapes Anwar’s desk. To say he was not aware and not involved is an insult to the intelligence of the people. From eighteen to eighty years old, everyone knows Anwar ordered Najib’s DNAA.

You don’t need a rocket scientist to tell about hanky-panky in the AGC when even Rafizi Ramli, PKR’s most outspoken lawmaker, was not convinced and demanded the prosecution to explain Najib’s DNAA. It’s a blessing that Anwar had toppled former PKR deputy president Rafizi, and orchestrated his daughter Nurul Izzah to become a “yes man” in building the family dynasty.
While the AGC has dismissed that it carried out a “flawed prosecution” in the second SRC International Sdn Bhd case involving ex-PM Najib Razak, it cannot explain satisfactorily why the case has been dragging since February 2019, during which former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad had efficiently and speedily brought charges against Najib.
The Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC) argues that material documents required for the second SRC trial cannot be used due to the ongoing trial proceedings for the 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) case against Najib. But Najib had claimed trial to three charges of money laundering by accepting illegal proceeds amounting to RM27 million as early as February 2019, when the first SRC trial had already begun.

Exactly why the first SRC trial (involving RM42 million) and the second SRC trial (involving RM27 million) could begin concurrently without the so-called problematic “overlapping material documents” previously, but not now? Crucially, does that mean if the prosecution fails to convict Najib in the current ongoing 1MDB trial, which appears to be the case, the DNAA slapped on the second SRC trial will be permanently dropped?
Besides, if indeed Najib’s second SRC trial had to be dropped due to unavailability of the material documents as claimed by A.G. Dusuki, why was it not done as early as August 2019 when Najib was facing four charges of using his position to obtain gratification totalling RM2.3 billion in 1MDB funds and 21 money laundering charges involving the same amount?
Is A.G. Dusuki trying to say that all the previous attorney generals were incredibly retarded and it took the AGC a jaw-dropping six years to realise the problem now? It’s not hard to see how Najib’s corruption trials will end up. Don’t be surprised if Najib will be acquitted when the court delivers its verdict in October, and likewise, Rosmah will be freed as well.

The June 20 decision was the second time 1MDB-linked charges filed against Najib have been dropped. In 2025, a court allowed another DNAA request due to procedural delays in a corruption case against the ex-premier and the country’s former treasury chief, Irwan Serigar Abdullah. In 2023, Najib Razak was also acquitted on separate charges of tampering with a government audit into 1MDB.
If despicable Anwar’s hints are any indicator, Najib is almost guaranteed to walk away free from any charges. Just a week ago (June 14), the PM shocked everyone when he said his interest was not to jail crooks, but to recover stolen money, despite spewing lies about his commitment to fight corruption. His remarks can be dangerously translated into this – “you can steal money as long as you don’t get caught.”
Worst, Anwar’s zero interest in jailing crooks could mean the government is working quietly to grant “house detention” for Najib to serve his remaining jail sentence in the comfort of his mansion. The PM can claim ignorance and pretend to be innocent, but the more he tries to make up stupid tales, the more supporters will distance themselves from PKR in the next 16th General Election.

Arrogance of power was an understatement. PKR’s Reformasi (reformation) is effectively “Reformati” (dead). Drunk with power, Anwar actually believes Pakatan Harapan supporters will have no choice but to continue supporting him blindly regardless of what he does, including freeing Najib Razak under the silliest and dumbest excuses. He still thinks he can fool all the people all the time.
Laughing all the way to the bank, Najib has many reasons to celebrate. Not only does he get to keep RM27 million of stolen money, but his loots of tens of billions of Ringgit are now secured. More importantly, the Najib-Rosmah team can start planning their next actions when they return to power. They had no idea it would be so easy to lure and trap Anwar Ibrahim, whose ambition is to become a prime minister – by hook or by crook.

Can’t wait for Najib to return to politics, do something useful just for wans, topple Ayatollah Anwar and get back on his rightful throne!
Would only be correct Fatboy Jho comes home too and be Ah Jib’s finance minister. There’s every likelihood he would be much better at that than ten Anwars plus twenty Nuruls combined, all with fresh batteries.
Good luck with another discount on Ah Jib’s prison sentence and he’d be out with quality bomoh magic, Alhamdullilah!
