The World Cup 2014 is here again. As usual, productivity is set to take a huge plunge and office meetings are going to take a back seat. If your boss is equally crazy about it, congratulation because chances are he or she would reach office late, not to mention skipping as many meetings as possible. But if your boss is a gambler who would bet every match even if he has to pawn his underwear, beware.

You do know it’s not easy to make money in this World Cup 2014 in Brazil, don’t you? If it’s as easy as stated on paper, then you can bet all your money on Brazil or Argentina to win the cup. After all, Brazil is top with ESPN’s Soccer Power Index (SPI) of 91.82, while Argentina is not far away with a score of 89.99. And do you know which group is the real “Group of Death” for World Cup 2014?

Many of you may think Group G is the “Group of Death” with USA, Germany, Portugal and Ghana ready to fight tooth and nail. Yes, the United States team is still bitching about the difficulty in their group. But the actual “Group of Death” is Group B, which consists of Spain, Chile, Netherlands and Australia, based on SPI ranking. That’s because Spain, Chile and Netherlands are ranked third, fifth and tenth respectively.

Nevertheless, all eyes are on five time champions Brazil, who won the World Cup in 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994 and 2002. If that was not enough to impress you, here’re more mind-boggling facts – most participations (19), most goals (210), most consecutive wins (11, from 2002‑2006), most consecutive matches with goals scored (18).
