How Anwar Ibrahim wished he were invited to the International Peace Summit in the Red Sea resort city of Sharm el-Sheikh. The high-level gathering, co-chaired by Egypt President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and his U.S. counterpart Donald Trump, involved leaders and officials from 27 countries. The meeting obviously provides an opportunity for world leaders to rub shoulders and boost international standing.

The burning question is why Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar was excluded from such an important event. After all, he is arguably the most qualified leader to not only attend the summit, but also to receive some medals for championing the Palestinian right. Well, at least he believes Malaysia under his leadership is indispensable and has tremendous influence in the Middle East.

Anwar is more Arab than Arab, more Palestinian than Palestinian, and of course, more Hamas than Hamas. He had arranged countless pro-Palestine rallies in Malaysia, spoke against Israel till foaming at the mouth, donated taxpayers’ hard-earned money to the tune of RM200 million for Palestinian, and globe trotting to Saudi Arabia for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit to bitch about the brutality of the Jews.

The “Prime Minister of Gaza” had also tirelessly flown to UAE, Qatar, Egypt and Turkey seeking support from Arab leaders to stop Israel’s relentless assault on Gaza. To make it more dramatic, Mr Anwar had claimed – without proof – during a gathering with 16,000 supporters that he had been threatened by European politicians for speaking up for Palestinian human rights.

Heck, Anwar had even ordered his favourite Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek to organize a weeklong program in schools nationwide to support the Palestinians. The “Palestine Solidarity Week” program, claimed to teach students about humanitarian values, saw teachers and excited students carrying firearms, albeit toy guns, while wrapping Palestinian keffiyeh scarves around their heads like Jihadist militants.

His latest project was to encourage Malaysian activists (including influencers, singers and actresses) to take part in the Gaza aid flotilla, purposely provoking and challenging the Israeli Navy in the war zone. The dubious mission was to break the Israeli blockade under the pretext of delivering supplies to Palestinians. The problem is those ships actually carried zero aid except selfie sticks, cameras and equipment to do live streaming.

Anwar Ibrahim - Supports Palestine and Israel

Deeply humiliated for being left out in the cold, PM Anwar has cooked up a spectacular blockbuster excuse as to why Malaysia was not among the countries invited to the International Peace Summit in Egypt. Here’s his hilarious lies to save face – the meeting was limited to those giving full support to Trump’s 20-point peace plan that Malaysia could not endorse unconditionally.

“We are among the few countries that gave conditional support. Most of the countries, including those present in Sharm El-Sheikh, expressed full support. The countries invited were those that fully supported the 20-point peace plan. Malaysia was not included because our support comes with reservations,” – Anwar told the Dewan Rakyat (Lower House) when grilled by the opposition.

Exactly how he found out the reasons for not being invited is beyond comprehension. Did the summit organizer tell him that? Did al-Sisi or Trump personally call to update him? Was the prerequisite for invitations published in brochures or websites? Did he realize that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas was invited? Perhaps nobody bothers inviting him.

International Peace Summit Egypt - Signing of Peace

The biggest problem with narcissist Anwar is that he thinks all the 34 million Malaysians are stupid, have no access to the internet, and live on the trees. Did he realize that not a single Arab nation that attended the summit – Egypt, Qatar, Turkey, Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Iraq, UAE, Oman – fully support the 20-point peace plan hatched by President Donald Trump?

Other countries invited included Indonesia, France, Azerbaijan, Germany, Britain, Italy, Spain, Greece, Armenia, Hungary, Pakistan, Canada, Norway, India, Japan, Cyprus. The summit was also attended by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, European Council President Antonio Costa, Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit.

Was it not Anwar Ibrahim who proclaimed that the world acknowledged his strong stand in international relations not too long ago? In fact, he bragged that his fourth visit to Saudi Arabia last year marked his close relationship with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who personally invited him there, thereby recognising Anwar’s strategic position as one of the main voices of developing countries.

Flotilla Ship To Gaza

When 23 Malaysian volunteers from the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) were released from detention by the Israeli army recently, many gullible supporters have praised the PMX (10th Prime Minister)’s extraordinary leadership – visionary, influential, strong diplomatic skills and respected on the global stage – as the primary factor in securing the swift release of the Malaysian activists.

Yet, the so-called highly respected great leader had failed to get a seat at the International Peace Summit when even Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Greek Cypriot Administration leader Nikos Christodoulides were invited. Anwar should fire his advisers for spinning and twisting such a clumsy excuse to save face because it sounds so ridiculous he looks like a stand-up comedian.

Get real, his good friend – Egypt President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi – could easily spare a free slot for him for all the hard work he had done for the Palestinian if the Egyptian leader indeed had any respect for Anwar. As co-chairman, el-Sisi has the power and authority to extend an invitation to the Malaysian great leader, even if Trump disagrees.

Turkish President Recep Erdogan Visits Malaysian Anwar Ibrahim

Even if Egypt had overlooked the matter, there was still one very powerful man who has the influence to get Anwar a ticket to the gathering – Erdogan. Premier Anwar Ibrahim and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan enjoy a very close relationship like brothers. It was through the strategic relationship with Erdogan that Anwar could boastfully secure the swift release of the 23 Malaysian activists detained in Israel.

As the only Muslim country in NATO, it would be hard for Trump to reject if Erdogan insists that his buddy Anwar attends the summit. But Palestinian hero Anwar was totally forgotten whilst Erdogan enjoyed himself with more than two dozen world leaders. Crucially, Erdogan’s attendance has also exposed Anwar’s lies about the criteria determining which country got invited to the summit.

While Erdogan voices support for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, he did not fully support Trump’s 20-point peace plan. Yet, the Turkish leader was invited but not the Malaysian leader. Is Anwar saying Erdogan is a Palestinian traitor for fully supporting the 20-point peace plan? Otherwise, how does Anwar explain he was rejected, but Erdogan got the invitation card?

International Peace Summit Egypt - Indonesia President Prabowo Subianto and US President Donald Trump 2

The best part is Indonesia President Prabowo Subianto was invited to the peace summit to witness the signing of a peace and ceasefire agreement on the war in Gaza on Monday (Oct 13). But here’s the most incredible part – the invitation was received unexpectedly on Saturday and had not been on Prabowo’s agenda. This shows the importance of Indonesia rather than Malaysia in the peace process.

Indonesian State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi revealed – “Indeed, the timing was quite sudden, but the invitation earnestly requested President Prabowo’s presence, as it is part of the continuation of peace negotiations that hopefully, will bring peace to Palestine, especially Gaza.” Indonesia is the only Southeast Asian nation attending the high-level peace conference.

It’s hard for Anwar to admit it, but Prabowo’s invitation to attend the summit in Egypt reflects Indonesia’s growing international standing and “credibility”. Under flashing camera lights at the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh on Oct 13, U.S. President Donald Trump greeted him with a grin, saying – “I see a tough man right here.” The two leaders shook hands and briefly posed for photographers, thumbs raised.

For Indonesia, the summit represented a significant diplomatic milestone, something which Anwar has been dreaming of. Prabowo’s attendance underscores Jakarta’s growing visibility in a region traditionally dominated by Western and Middle Eastern powers. More importantly, it shows that Indonesia – not Malaysia – is recognised as the de facto “Taikor (big brother)” in Southeast Asia.

But that was not the only setback that upset Anwar. Just weeks earlier, on Sept 23, Mr Trump had publicly lauded Mr Prabowo at the United Nations General Assembly in New York for a speech that drew attention for its boldness and clarity on Palestinian statehood. “A great speech. You did a great job pounding on that table. You did a great job,” – President Trump said.

So, what makes Prabowo any different than Anwar? In his address which earned Trump’s respect, Mr Prabowo pledged continued support for Palestinian independence while committing that Indonesia would recognise Israel and back its security once Palestine’s independence was acknowledged. That is the main difference between Anwar and Prabowo.

Anwar Ibrahim - Support Hamas Terrorists

Both Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta have long championed Palestinian statehood. But unlike racist and radical Anwar who supports the destruction of the Jewish state indoctrinated by his Hamas terrorist brothers, Prabowo believes in a peaceful solution that recognises both Palestine and Israel. And the Indonesia leader certainly doesn’t scream and whine anti-Jews every day like Anwar.

Yes, the biggest problem with “village hero” Anwar is his arrogance in supporting Hamas, which is different from supporting Palestinians. Except Turkey and Qatar, none of the Gulf states actually supported Hamas. This explains why both Egypt President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and U.S. Donald Trump decided that Anwar – despite being the Chair of ASEAN – was irrelevant, and chose Prabowo instead as representative of ASEAN.

Even the Arab World distrusts Anwar. The proof – during a photo session with the leaders of the OIC countries at the 8th OIC Emergency Summit Media Conference in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, PM Anwar was bumped to behind, where the first row was reserved for leaders from Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Iran, Qatar, Jordan, Egypt, the PLO and even Syria. It shows Anwar was not appreciated because the Arabs despised Hamas.

Of course, the Arabs aren’t dumb because they knew Anwar’s political reason for supporting Palestinians. But they were also suspicious of his support for Hamas, which like ABIM (Muslim Youth Movement of Malaysia) that was co-founded by Anwar, was linked to the Muslim Brotherhood. And the foolish Malaysian PM bragged about his phone conversation with Hamas’ political bureau Ismail Haniyeh.

Like it or not, the real champion is Donald Trump. He managed to bring together the world’s most powerful Arab and Muslim countries to express support for his peace plan along with Israel. He pressured Egypt, Qatar and Turkey, all of which have ties to Hamas, to in turn pressure Hamas into accepting a deal with conditions that previously were unacceptable and unthinkable.

Trump just needed to sell a simple story – Israel defanged Iran and its most powerful militia allies, Hamas and Lebanon’s Hezbollah, removing major threats. Assad regime fell in Syria. The Gulf states can choose to either suffer domestic pressure as a result of the massive civilian toll of the war, or to rein in Hamas. The the last straw that broke the camel’s back was when Israeli unleashed missile attack on Hamas leaders in Qatar.

Gaza 20-Point Peace Plan - Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu

The 2-year war ended after Trump gave Hamas the ultimatum – release the remaining Israels hostages, dead or alive, or the U.S. will give full support to the Jewish state to finish the job. As we had mentioned many times, the war in Gaza would end instantly if Hamas released all the hostages. So, why drama queen Anwar didn’t tell his Hamas brothers to do that if indeed his intention was to save the lives of Palestinians?
